Inaugural TPKRT Training Camp 2010

Following with the theme of inaugurals in 2010, we, the Kayak Racing Team, will also be holding our first ever training camp on MONDAY, 4th October 2010. Report at 8.30am at the sports complex.

In addition to the usual team bonding activities, the camp will be mainly about our training, the upcoming POLITEs, and some communication exercises. 'Bonding' does not imply tying Yi Hsiang up again.

Things to pack:
1) Sleeping Bag (If you don't have one, You can choose to either buy one, or share. Its much more intimate. <3)
2) Pack for two sets of double training. (4 sets of clothes. Girls. Please.)
3) Long pants (Just in case certain activities require that.)
4) Swimwear
5) Your Sense of humour. (Some people don't need reminding, though.)

Because it is still a school day, we can have our meals there, which thankfully spares us the pain of catering. Dinner, we could have at Ang keong. We'll have a BBQ on Tuesday night to break camp as well.

More detailed info about the camp will be given on Monday.

The camp is not going to be all hardcore training, so Injured people and Alumni - You are also welcome to pop by, or even join in.

Team Temasek Shirts

Hey guys. I know you have all ordered the team temasek shirts I mentioned in the text message.

However I want you guys to seriously consider what you are ordering.

Its not just a T-shirt you get at the discounted price of $10.

I've mentioned before that there is no contract binding you to the team. However this comes pretty close.

When you wear the shirt with the words 'Team Kayak Racing' on it, you proudly show yourself as part of the team.

In other words, the shirt is completely useless to you if you happen to drop out.

Give it one more thought. Are you driven enough to affirm that you're likely to wear the shirt all the way, and not end up chucking it to the back of your wardrobe one day?

Also on the way is the first Team Jersey for your batch. It's going to carry your name as well. Before I make the order, can you confirm that you are really capable of bearing the name of the team, next to your own?
